As part of Team Ocean Grown, a duo competing in the prestigious 2023 Talisker Atlantic Challenge—a grueling 3,000-nautical-mile ocean row—Lisa is dedicated to raising funds for a maritime education scholarship benefiting former foster youth. She finds immense joy in sharing her enthusiasm for the sea, whether it be through sailing, diving, educating, learning, or providing unforgettable experiences to others.
Chef Tanya:
Hailing from a coastal area in Maine, Chef Tanya embarked on a remarkable journey that seamlessly intertwined her love for travel, cooking, and the ocean. Despite graduating with a degree in Finance, she bravely followed her passion and charted a new course in the world of yachting. With over 18,000 nautical miles under her belt, including captivating passages from Florida to Turkey and the Caribbean to Colombia, Tanya has proven herself as a skilled sailor. In the galley, she showcases her creative flair and diverse culinary repertoire, while exuding a calm and composed demeanor. Offering an exceptional level of service, Tanya's genuine passion for food shines through, and she takes pride in her ability to cater to various dietary preferences, specializing in Italian, Mediterranean, and French cuisine. With her impeccable work ethic, can-do attitude, and dedication to client satisfaction, she ensures that every guest enjoys a memorable culinary experience onboard.
Stew Julianna Leskie:
Julianna's thirst for adventure was ignited when she relocated to San Francisco to pursue a career in ballet, where she fell head over heels for the Bay Area and its endless possibilities. Following her retirement from the ballet world, she indulged in her passion for fine dining and world-class wines. Julianna eagerly embraced the realm of hospitality, acquiring experience in diverse service roles, ranging from craft bartending in upscale lounges and Michelin-starred dining establishments to excelling in restaurant management and wedding coordination. Expanding her skill set to provide unforgettable guest experiences, she pursued the study of massage therapy, discovering her true calling in helping clients escape, unwind, and relax. This unique combination of talents has led Julianna to her latest adventure aboard Relentless, enabling her to fulfill her personal mission of delivering a top-tier relaxation experience at sea.
Captain Dan (Rotational):
Captain Dan's deep-seated connection with the water was nurtured along the Delaware coast from a young age. However, it was during his time in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, that he honed his skills in reading wind and water, both for surfing and sailing. Obtaining his Captain's license in 2008, Dan swiftly transitioned into guiding others on the water, sharing his profound love for nature and the sea. After embarking on a personal sailing journey from North Carolina to the Bahamas, his adventures eventually led him to the Virgin Islands, where he has garnered over eight years of experience sailing the US and British Virgin Islands on a variety of vessels. Dan prides himself on curating customized itineraries based on his extensive knowledge of the local waters and the unique preferences of his guests. Above all, he prioritizes the safety, relaxation, and comfort of everyone onboard, ensuring that they feel at home throughout their vacation.
