CAPTAIN | Jez Fletcher

Jez Fletcher has been the captain of Skylark since its inaugural voyage in 2012. With over 100,000 nautical miles under his belt, Jez brings a wealth of experience to his role. He embarked on his career as a charter yacht captain in 2008 and has since sailed through the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the Aegean seas. Jez has completed three transatlantic crossings and undertaken two North Sea deliveries. Known for his calm demeanor and discreet approach, Jez is a seasoned professional who warmly welcomes guests aboard Skylark.

CHEF | Caro Uy

Caro Uy, an accomplished yacht chef, has been an integral part of the Skylark crew since its launch in 2012. Boasting 14 years of experience in catering to yacht guests, Caro takes great pride in crafting personalized menus that cater to individual preferences. She sources fresh seasonal local produce whenever possible, infusing each dish with her culinary expertise. Although trained in French culinary techniques, Caro's menu inspirations reflect her diverse travel experiences, incorporating flavors from Spain, Italy, France, Turkey, Croatia, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.

DECKHAND | Jonty Marais

Jonty Marais, a self-motivated and diligent deckhand, contributes immensely to the Skylark crew. Hailing from South Africa, he began his career in the hospitality industry, working as a wine advisor and a hospitality supervisor for five years. Eager to pursue his passion for sailing, Jonty transitioned to the luxury yachting industry, skillfully combining his prior experience with his love for the open waters. Throughout the bustling charter season, Jonty maintains pristine decks, assists with water sports activities, and upholds a professional work ethic. His cheerful and friendly personality greatly enhances the guest experience, making him a valued member of the team.
